OUR HEALTH MATTERS: CARING FOR HEALTH CARERS
Welcome to ADHC 2017!
The Doctors’ Health Advisory Service (NSW) has great pleasure in inviting you to our 2017 Conference in Sydney. We hope the Conference will be an opportunity to learn about improving the health of our colleagues and facing the challenges of practice whilst maintaining our own health. Whether you are involved in treating or caring for colleagues or a practitioner looking for ways to improve your own resilience the Conference promises to be a chance to reflect and recharge. This Conference represents a breathing space – a time for honest reflection and re-balancing. You may even consider submitting a paper. We are planning a comprehensive range of presentations to cover many aspects of doctors health issues.
2017 will mark a new phase for the DHAS in NSW and ACT as we expand our services for doctors and medical students. In NSW we also look after dentists, veterinarians and their respective students. The Conference will be a venue to explore new models of service for the health and wellbeing of doctors. We hope you can come to Sydney in September and make the Conference part of your 2017 calendar.
With best wishes,
Dr Choong-Siew Yong
President of DHAS NSW
The need to help colleagues with personal and health problems has long been appreciated by the medical profession. With the support of the Medical Benevolent Association of NSW and the Australian Medical Association (NSW), the Service began in 1982.
